3D Art Experiment - Mesh Fusion & Substance Painter
The 3D Art Experiment Project started as a simple test for working with The Foundry's Modo and their real-time boolean Mesh Fusion plugin and Allegorithmic's Substance Painter application.

The 3D Art Experiment Project started as a test for using The Foundry's Modo with real-time boolean plugin Mesh Fusion and Allegorithmic's Substance Painter application.  The artwork was created in 3D using The Foundry's Modo with textures created in Substance Painter and post color grading completed in Photoshop.

Modo 801 User Interface displaying Mesh Fusion tab with resulting high poly 3D mesh.  Using Mesh Fusion in Modo provides a very creative and fun way to experiment with interactive booleans never before possible. 
Substance Painter User Interface displaying hand painted 3D model in the left window and the same hand painted textures displayed in UV space in the right window.  Many of the unique surface tuxtures where created using particle brushes for organic and fluid results.
Modo 801 User Interface displaying Model Quad tab.  3D scene setup in Modo was completed using a scene template "03 Interior" which includes the default room setup with an unclamped sun.  Diffuse Color and Roughness, Spectral Amount, Reflection Fresnel, normal and bump map textures created in Substance Painter.
